I was pleased to watch Six Feet Under today and see Ruth (the mom) knitting in a YARN SHOP!!! i was shocked and pleased. last week they showed her knitting on the couch in front of the tv as her husband begged her to pay attention to him instead of knitting. hahaah.

Now take into account I have not had 1 happy memory today and the fact that I found someone with a birthday on June 17th made me smile!! I went to my friend's house tonight and gave her the sweetpea sweater. omg...she loved it. i was actually very happy she was so happy. even her hubby loved it. ahh...i felt so happy and proud.
I"m currently working on a bow-tie bolero from the Debbie Bliss Special Knits book for my friend's daughter. I meant to make this sooner...esp since the girl's b-day was last month. hehee i've decided to make it out of Classic Elite Flash Sweetpea color. it's knitting up nicley. Today i finished one front part and yesterday i finished the back. So just another front part and sleeves and i'm done. I'm scared i'm going to run out of yarn. I don't think i have enough. EEEK.

I like how the Regia knitted up. My only complaint about this sock is that it's a bit short around the ankle...even too short for me. but it's all good. i still like it. i had to get a pedicure today just so i could try on the sock and take photos. LOL. well, that's not the only reason. I was due for another pedicure anyway.

So last week i took a class given by Barbara At Simpatico for traveling stitches. It didn't help that I was an hour late to each class...but i had fun and it was very interesting.
I got started ont he traveling stitches hat. But then i got VERY distracted by the toe-less sock that I posted online last post. So far i'm about 2/3 done w/ the first sock. I"m ghetto. I have no blocking board, nor have I attempted to make one. I cut up a big cardboard box one night out of desperation to block a poncho...and i've kept it since. works great. :) haha.a but i wish i had a blocking board b/c it looks so ghetto.
